ABOUT US

Roger Alex

Owner/ Head Instructor

The past 13 years, I've delved into the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under the expert guidance of Master Ross Kellin, proudly holding the rank of a first-degree Black belt. This journey has not only honed my skills but instilled in me a deep appreciation for the discipline and philosophy of martial arts.

My expertise isn't limited to the mats—I've dedicated 24 years to studying strength and conditioning, crafting programs that cater to individuals across the spectrum, from fitness enthusiasts to elite athletes, both amateur and professional. My aim is to empower individuals on their fitness journey, helping them unlock their full potential.

In my earlier years, I devoted six years to the sport of wrestling, learning invaluable lessons of discipline, resilience, and hard work. Additionally, I played collegiate football, further fueling my passion for physical fitness and sportsmanship.

As the head instructor of the children's program at Warrior Combat and Fitness Academy, I am deeply committed to providing a safe and welcoming space for kids. My profound passion lies in ensuring that every child feels a sense of belonging, serving as a positive influence and mentor in their lives.

I look forward to being a part of the Warrior family, contributing to the growth and well-being of each young warrior on their journey.

Owner/ Instructor

I'm thrilled to be a part of the Warrior Combat and Fitness Academy community. For the past twelve years, I've immersed myself in the world of martial arts, shaping both my skills and my deep-rooted passion for teaching children.

Currently holding the esteemed rank of a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under the guidance of Master Ross Kellin, my journey has been marked by dedication and a commitment to continuous growth. But beyond the belts and ranks, my true joy lies in working with children.

For the past decade, I've had the privilege of training kids, witnessing their growth, and instilling in them the values of discipline, respect, and the love for martial arts. It's a role I cherish deeply. As one of the instructors in our children's program, I bring this passion to every lesson, creating an environment where young warriors can thrive.

My role extends beyond the regular classes—I'm actively involved in coaching our tournament-focused kids. This versatile approach ensures that each child receives personalized guidance tailored to their unique martial arts journey. I'm excited to be a part of your child's martial arts experience at Warrior Combat and Fitness Academy. Together, let's foster a positive, enriching, and empowering environment for our young warriors.

As of November 30th, 2023, I have achieved a significant milestone in my martial arts career by earning a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Professor Roger Alex. This achievement comes after nine dedicated years of training, reflecting my deep commitment to the art. My journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has been heavily influenced by competition. I have participated in various tournaments, super fights, and even local MMA cage fights. These competitive experiences have not only honed my skills but also ingrained in me a strong desire for competition. One of the most rewarding aspects of my career has been coaching children. Sharing my passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with kids of all ages has been incredibly fulfilling. I focus on translating the lessons learned from martial arts into tools for character development. These tools empower children to navigate life’s challenges effectively, fostering resilience and strength. In addition to working with children, I also teach adult classes during the evening. This allows me to share my knowledge and passion with a broader community, nurturing both the young and the mature in their martial arts journey. As I look forward, I am excited about the impact that our future ‘crash’ (a term for a group of rhinos) will make in the world. Through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, we are building a stronger, more resilient society, one student at a time.
